EXPERIENCE:

Aoife works in the area of property, construction, probate and environmental law. Prior to joining Shields Sadleir in 2016, she trained and worked for Ronan Daly Jermyn Solicitors from 2004 to 2016. First in the Property Department mainly in the areas of environmental, construction, public procurement and landlord and tenant. She has advised on the purchase of a number of pharmaceutical plants, the development of environmental and energy infrastructural projects, and contaminated land liability issues. Aoife has been involved in the defence of a number of prosecutions by local authorities and the Environmental Protection Agency. She has also advised Insurance companies in respect of the defence of professional negligence claims and personal injury claims. In 2014, she moved into the area of professional support lawyer for Ronan Daly Jermyn and was actively involved in setting up the professional support department and in managing firm wide knowledge base.

Aoife’s experience also includes working on various European Commission projects on compliance matters in the area of environmental law, public procurement and energy infrastructural projects.

She has lectured extensively on construction, public procurement and health and safety law at the Faculty of Engineering, University College Cork.
